Christmas 2008

I wanted to send out Christmas cards this year like I always try to do, but with the baby coming so close to Christmas I just didn't get them done in time. I hope you don't mind getting them this way. I want to thank everyone who sent us cards, it's always so fun getting them in the mail.



REEVES FAMILY UPDATE 2008

Merry Christmas family and friends. We hope that all of you are ready for Christmas and enjoying this holiday season. We wish we were closer to many of you so we could enjoy it together.

I wish that every year we could just write about what a wonderful past year it has been, but life will always throw us ups and downs to keep the ride of life interesting \''/ This year has been a little trying for us but we have learned a lot and we are happy to say that we have been blessed in the end.

At the beginning of the year we decided that come May we would move to Arizona with Richard's family to receive some much need help and support (at the time we had NO IDEA just how much help we were going to need). Richard's in his fourth year of vet school and has been traveling often out of state for months at a time to complete his school rotations. In March we were blessed to find out that another little one would be joining our family. And those who know me well, know that with this news comes the reality that our family is going to face some hard times. Just as my other pregnancies, I was very sick, but this time it lasted almost the whole pregnancy. But thanks to our families (Both Rich's...and mine) we received a lot of help with the kids and we survived my sick days and Richard's crazy traveling schedule.

In May, Sadie turned 4 years old. She loves going to preschool, playing dress up and singing to anyone who will listen. When asked what she likes she says "I like my dog Paige, I like baby sister, I like my dad and whole family too, and my toy kitties in my bed".

In July the kids and I followed Richard to Utah for two months while he completed two different rotations there. My brother Lonnie & family, and my sister Roxie & family were kind enough to let us barge in for the months we were there. It was great to be back in Utah again, although we didn't get to see many of our friends because I was too busy laying on the couch...haha! In fact my sister still claims that my body indention is still there on her couch.

In August, Mason turned 2 years old. He loves anything that has to do with puppies and buses. When in the house he spends his whole day pleading for a "Puppy show". And when in the car he screams over and over "Ba plea mama...Ba plea mama" (Bus please mama). Everyone is very relieved when a bus finally drives by so that he will finally stop screaming.

We returned back to Arizona in September where Rich did a rotation in Gilbert. In October, Rich went to Central California for yet another rotation. He returned back in November where he had a month and a half to prepare and study for his board exams. He took his boards just two days before the baby arrived.

On Dec. 12th we had a planned c-section and our baby girl, Kendyl, was born very healthy and strong. She is a delight to be around and the kids can't get enough of her. As stated before life throws us ups and downs, but in the end it's never hard to count our blessings. This year has been trying but we couldn't end the year any better. We have three beautiful children and a new baby who helps remind us of another beautiful birth that occurred this time of year. We are so thankful to be able to remember the Savior at this time of year and to think about what he has done for us in our life.
